VISUAL ARTIST
Kim Gaeta is a Mexican-American artist based in Los Angeles whose work explores the intersection of the human condition and the natural world. Her practice delves into the parallels between nature and social justice, and the deep interconnectedness of community. Working across assemblage, ceramics, illustration, and public art, Gaeta draws from cultural history, native flora and fauna, folklore, and symbolism. Her imagery often leans surreal—evoking layered meanings through nature and myth to create visually rich, contemplative experiences.
She is also an experienced commercial designer, with work spanning photo art direction, branding, packaging, book covers, and illustration. Her clients include both local and global brands such as Lululemon, Chamberlain Coffee, Mohawk Bend, APLA, TOMS, Quay, Drybar, and Costa Brazil. She holds a BA in Art from California State University, Fullerton.
